Welcome to Cirencester College

Cirencester College has a reputation for innovation, outstanding student care, excellent teaching and excellent results. Our Beacon College status, an accolade of which we are justly proud, provides public recognition of this and places us amongst the best colleges in the country. The 2006 league tables placed us at the top of the tertiary and general FE colleges ranking nationally at level 3 (A level or equivalent). This year our pass rates have been even better. Our OFSTED inspectors (December 2006) rated us as “Outstanding”, awarding 5 grade 1s.

In the sixteen years since we have opened, much has changed. What has not changed is our customer focus, and our determination to provide for our students, and our local community, the very best education and training opportunities designed to enable each and every student to make the most of their potential and achieve their ambitions. Each year we welcome more and more 16-19 year old students from throughout the area.

Each year we offer and develop a range of diverse programmes designed to meet the needs of adult students, whether in employment, seeking employment or seeking to enjoy the benefits of further study.

And if you don’t want to be a student, perhaps we can attract you to the Sundial Theatre, a professional theatre venue with an exciting programme of events, to the Castle to enjoy relaxing beauty treatments at Tranquillity, our on site beauty salon, or maybe you want to bring your pre school children to the Bright Eyes nursery to get their education off to a great start.

Much of what we offer is innovative and imaginative; we work in partnership with a number of key local employers to provide them with the calibre of employees they need in their workforce, through our unique Academy initiatives. We are a Centre of Excellence for Financial Services, and can offer Train to Gain programmes as part of the government’s agenda designed to support the needs of business.
